Does Oprah ONLY LOVE RICH WHITE SCHOOLS((and kids)) IN AMERICA?
According to tmz.com, It seems Oprah still has a soft spot for white kids. While her new South African school for girls grabbed headlines, Oprah has also been lending a helping hand to some ultra-white establishments. According to FOX News, Winfrey gave $1 million to Miss Porter's, an exclusive finishing school in Connecticut, where she sent her nieces. Annual tuition is $38,000, and graduates include Jackie Kennedy, the Vanderbilts and the Rockefellers. The talk show queen has also contributed to Chicago's Lake Shore Academy, whose student body is pretty much entirely white.Hmmmm, this makes me think...I mean hey this is America and it's HER money on the one hand, but on the other aren't there ((any good)) predominately black or at least mixed schools that Oprah could send her nieces to? After donating to that school in South Africa which I thought was GREAT, I find it hard to believe such a donation couldn't be made to a school here!
Denver Police Make Arrest in Darrent Williams Murder
DENVER (AP) _ Police have arrested a 23-year-old man and plan to question him about the shooting death of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams. Police say Willie Clark was arrested for a parole violation after his name surfaced in the investigation. But police spokesman Sonny Jackson says Clark is not being called a suspect in the case. More than 50 people have been questioned since Williams was shot as he drove away from a New Year's Eve party at a nightclub in a stretch Hummer limousine.
First Black Mayor Found Dead....
Did y'all hear about this? Mayor-Elect Gerald Washington was found shot to death on Dec. 30 in a parking lot 11 days after being sworn into office. His gun was found by the body. He would've been the first black mayor in the Louisiana town of Westlake. The coroner and sheriff are calling it a suicide, but no suicide note was found and he was shot in the chest ((not head)) hmmmm. All this happened the day BEFORE he's supposed to take the office of mayor? Hmmmmm even though the town is about 80% white he won nearly 70% of the vote.Many are beginning to say that this was murder and are accusing the police of a coverup...hmmmm well I ((KNOW)) that in Lousyana as well as MANY parts of the south..racism and prejudice run rampant...I will reserve judgement as this story develops and of COURSE i'll keep you all aware of developments....

If the greatest comedian ever- Richard Pryor could stop using and the very funny Paul Mooney stop using it and STILL be funny, why can't others follow their lead?
I mean if you wanna be good or try to be GREAT why not raise the bar like Pryor and Mooney? In a brilliant move, the new Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, D-Minn., decided to use the centuries-old Koran during his ceremonial swearing-in on Thursday after he learned that it is kept at the Library of Congress. Jefferson, the nation's third president and a collector of books in all topics and languages, sold the book to Congress in 1815 as part of a collection.

Wacko 'Preacher/ Minister/Televangelist' has his anuual 'Fear Based' predictions based on 'visions, dreams and conversations' with his ((emphasis mine)) GOD. Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.
Just goes to show you how a fear based understanding of GOD works ...is it any wonder that MOST 'Real Christians' like Robertson, voted for Bush TWICE??

Murphy feels betrayed by Mel B, and he doesn’t believe that the child she is carrying is his. Mel B says she got pregnant by Murphy the first time they slept together. Why would a man who already has six kids sleep with a woman for the first time with no protection?!! While I applaud her efforts to help to 'educate those who wish to educated' ((her words and a allusion to 'inner city' children who would rather have ipods or sneakers)) I wonder if she knows or even cares about why 'inner city kids' want those things INSTEAD of an 'education'?
Maybe it's because of MEDIA'S and this cultures FOCUS on material things like ipods and sneakers, not to mention shows like PIMP MY RIDE, CRIBS, 106 AND PARK videos, Who wants to be a millionaire and many others...Maybe she do a show or serious of shows for both young and older people about materialism in this country, not to mention how this social, political and cultural system re-inforces these things?
